Description

Extraordinary show last night, double transit with double eclipse, fortunately the fog that came down in the early evening has cleared, allowing me to follow the phenomenon. In the photo, Europa is just below the Great Red Spot, which starts at sunset, Ganymede has not long finished the transit and is showing off on the right. The difference in size of the two shadows is wonderful and in particular it is very clear how the shadow of Ganymede is elongated, it is not a processing defect but it is linked to the fact that the shadow is very close to the edge of the planetary disk. I was greatly surprised by the details on Ganymede, thanks to the generous diameter, obviously I couldn't solve them with the C11.  3 images derotated from 3 consecutive videos Seeing: 7.5 / 10 Transparency: 6/10  Here in full resolution: https://flic.kr/p/2nVtvv9
